"ECM" Club Overview
The road cycling ’Entente Cyclo de Milizac" Club mostly known as the" ECM", has its sports hall located in the Garo sporting facility belonging to Milizac Municipality. The Club objective is based on the Touring on Bicycle development, thanks to different and defined circuitous routes that the riders can take together two times per week, riding in such a beautifull region full of various and multi-colors landscape types
Three rider groups are made to allow everybody to find one group adapted to his rider wishes, personal motivations and at each run to his rider talent and capability.
The friendly relations inside each group, as the great and convivial team atmosphere really contribute to the pleasure of riding together in a safe way.
Safety remains one of the ECM major issue and often, the Safety Officer reminds before runs the Club riders of the road safety rules for cycling. All the Club riders are equipped with elementary cycling helmets and necessary equipment for bike ride at low light level dawn . The Club cycling clothes that have been designed and selected by the Club members, are made with colors specified for low visibility.
The Club registers 44 multi-age members who live in Milizac Municipality as in the surrounding ones such as Brest, Bohars, Guilers and St Renan.
Last year, the ECM Club was very pleased to welcome to the team its first electric road Bike. This ebike allowed to one of the ECM Member to keep riding with his friends for their great delight.
This coming year will be rich and challenging. The Club will organize a 300 Kms run all through various beautiful and hilly landscapes located mostly in the north and center of Brittany. This run is referred in the run calendar registered and certified for Paris Brest Paris (PBP) great BRM run acquisition. The Club is expecting the participation of a large number of BRM riders. The Club will also participate in Brest downtown to the PBP welcoming organzation for the benefit of all the PBP riders arriving in Brest.
On May, the Club will organize a week cycling session for its members in the mountainous Midi-Pyrénées region.
Bernard Omnes, the Club President with Bernard Rozec his suppleant are both deeply implied in the keeping of a convivial team spirit , and in the Club developement.
